There was one for sale on ebay last year that one was for a KTM.
The P-KAT-008 is 54mm in diameter and 57mm long according Ackrapovic website

On the internet I found this information;
P-Kat-008/2
Spare Part type Catalytic converters
Catalytic Converter D54/60 × 58
cells: 200cpsi / amount: 40g/ft relation: 4:0:1

P-kat-010/1 ;
Spare Part type Catalytic converters
Catalytic Converter D52/55(32,4) × 55
cells: 200cpsi / amount: 40g/ft relation: 4:0:1

Yep exactly the same info I found, wont work without a sleeve to space it for a tight fit + I would not want to restrict it more by doing that either
Seems like the KTM 61105099130 3 pack is non existent on this side of the earth? the EU etc prices I have found are pretty high too so it would make it pretty pricey just for the 1 cat, could sell the other 2....eventually I guess

Leo vince, Mivv & Arrow etc make the same type of slip in cats but it is just as hard to find the sizes & details etc for them also, if only they just listed a PDF file with the OD length & internal core types, would make it all so easy

Average price for the KTM set is 380€ indeed a lot of money if you only use 1 of the Cat's..

Both the P-KAT-006/1 & P-KAT-006/3 are 58mm OD, the P-KAT-006/1 looks like it would do the job & from the pics I have found it looks as though it is 200 cell also

Yeah its hard to believe just one site especially in an Asian language so I will usually double check on a few sites to make sure, both the numbers I listed above will work, 006/1 & 006/3 = 58mmOD

I found this youtube video, I have seen the video before but now I recognize the bike, yours should sound the same>

I have been in contact with them ,that's the reason why I'm having this exhaust now.
They are very friendly and helpfull.

But the 006/3 Kat has a bigger flance so I'm not sure if ot fits..

Yeah I mentioned the 006/1 would be a better option, the 006/3 would just need the extra lip skimmed down to make it fit, not a big worry

Thinking about the clearance as you mentioned, I joined pics to compare them both, gives us a bit of an idea but without physically having the bikes side by side its pretty much guessing, as mentioned both the S1000RR & ZX10R muffler body's are 190mm long & the shell for both is the exact same part number (I looked them up in the diagrams)
I prefer the S1000RR though purely for the internal & inlet size which makes fitting much easier, I am going to sacrifice a Mivv link pipe to make fitting easier
Unfortunately the S1000RR muffler is a bit more expensive than the ZX10R, gotta find a good used bargain

Looking at the pic the bends on the ZX10R muffler setup look to hang down in one spot but overall I think they would both be fine

I think they both look good! it would be a hard choice just on looks alone

Ok,I will keep my eyes open for your S1000R muffler, and I will try to fine a 006/1 kat for my system .

Geee thats nice of you to offer to buy me a muffler, yeah they are pretty damn pricey too only because they are for a BMW, the near identical muffler for the ZX10R is quite a bit cheaper & there is another from Akrapovic also very similar for the Yamaha R6 part number S-Y6SO9-ASZ but again I am not sure of the internal & inlet dimensions, it does have a DB killer available & it is nearly half the price of the S1000RR Akrapovic muffler, funny how they can be a near identical item yet the pricing is lightyears apart??? looks like the reduced clamp section could be cut off the R6 muffler for a closer fit on the 1290 60mm link pipe?

A bit of a comparison of the 3>

I think the straight end of the R6 muffler is to long ,it will be coming to low to the ground.
Maybe you can check this website for a BMW muffler. They are going second hand for around 500€....

Easy to cut the (reduced section of) pipe off the R6 muffler leaving enough to clamp or weld, I dont think it is anywhere near 60mm pipe though so I wouldnt use that muffler myself

Thats not a bad site but the only real cheap ones I found were damaged, there is one nice tidy looking one but it is not that much cheaper than what I have found new + it is missing the carbon shield
It looks to be similar to what we have in Australia, a site called gumtree which is another site by Ebay but it is just like a local classified setup, very risky to buy on even here in Australia, even worse from another country & communication issues possibly?

I decided to go with the nice clean look of the OEM BMW muffler (part number 77117723814 ) with the black looking laser etched logo, the sound alone would draw enough attention without a lairy looking red & yellow Akrapovic logo on it, + the red n yellow would look disgusting on my black Superduke

Still looking & looking for a catalytic converter, any luck yohammer???

The main trouble is almost all the online stores use a generic pic which from what I have found is nothing like the actual item, I think the P-KAT-006/1 is pretty much an exact copy of the P-KAT-011 cat from the KTM 3 cat kit

These sites confirm that it is exactly what we need (A short relatively less restrictive 200 cell core, just enough to knock the nasty sound off the high end RPM too)>

http://www.ridermart.co.kr/goods/view.php?seq=4104

http://www.thebiker.co.kr/shop/goods/go ... =013004003

I found that they were used for the FZ1 Fazer, this PDF shows a pic of a short cat being used>
http://www.revzilla.com/assets/0000/160 ... 062013.pdf

I find it even more annoying that Akrapovic actually uses the generic pics also, WHY???
https://www.akrapovic.com/#!/motorcycle ... earId=3751

Also suits the BMW 06-09 K1200S & in this PDF, figure 33 actually shows a real pic of what also looks to be a cat very similar to the P-KAT-011

Hopefully that is enough information to safely say that the P-KAT-006/1 is near identical to the P-KAT-011 cat in Kev's pic's? now where to buy one cheap & take a gamble? only way to know for sure

Shouldnt be this hard to buy something!

Just found this on a russian site, cant believe it is the only place in the world that actually lists the specs, the list is the only part I could read so I just snipped a pic from the list, getting closer.....about 99% confirmation the P-KAT-006/1 cat is or SHOULD? be the 200 cell 58mm OD cat

I have found another option for the catalytic converter yohammer, there is a 58mm & 57mm version too, I would prefer the 58mm version though, looks to be 200 cell also but they are a little bit longer (50mm long) which means a little bit more restriction & noise reduction which may not be a bad thing anyway, can always trim it down to 40mm easily using an angle grinder, would not hurt it as long as you cut through it slowly & carefully allowing the disc to cut rather than trying to push trough the core

They are made by GPR, part number 5850 (58mm) & 5750 (57mm)>

I will get some pics & post the details (measurements where to cut the pipe maybe?) murphc13 when I get it sorted, might not be for a little while yet
Should be able to simply cut the lower front section off a MIVV link pipe...hopefully if the angle puts the muffler mounting roughly where I want it as it needs to go out & up at the same time so the pipe will just need to be rotated a little outwards which will lower the angle also which is what it will need
I could always use the other end that has a bit less bend if need be but that may require carefully removing the mounting plate that is welded onto the tube, can be done though

Really couldnt be bothered having a pipe made up (gotta find thin wall 60mm OD stainless tube & make the flange etc...stuff that), might be able to fit it without any welding at all, hoping I can cut it around where the red line is & job done, just guessing though really at this stage until I have the parts in front of me

Changed my mind,i just want to install the exhaust back and saw that the place in the link pipe a better place is for the cat. It give me more straight end so,I have to look now for a 48mm cat if there is one..
