Looking for a volunteer or two for Moderator duties.

Postby BassAgent » Wed Dec 16, 2015 5:34 am

It's that time again. While some have turned in their badges or just don't find their way to this awesome forum as much anymore, we are in need of some extra help around here (mostly with account activation duties).

The current list of active mods is: Myself, jmann, ktmguy, and the newest member to our team, Aphex.(I think The Gin Reaper stalks around here and there as well).

Ideally it would be nice to have a mod for each day of the week to cover checking emails for non-bot, real people to activate on the forum.

Obviously you will also attend to normal mod duties such as: Attending to reported posts, moving threads to the right forum categories/sub-categories, banning bots/spammers, etc.

Truth be told, this forum runs pretty smoothly with little to no issues. I would ask that people who are able to be active on the forums, have been members for quite a while, have built reputations, etc. post up looking to volunteer.

Lets not let this thread turn out like it did when I became a mod please

I'll ask Scamb, He was keen a while ago.

I'll let people add their interest for roughly a week, and then the current admin/mod team will make decisions from their. The community is also encouraged to offer input on would-be mods.

I'll volunteer.

I would also donate an annual fee for server payments or whatever is needed to avoid the same situation we had last year with Mike(?).

Let me know if I can be of help,

I would offer my services as a moderator as long as I don't have to demonstrate any IT skills as I am hopeless at this :(

But happy to help and give a little bit back after all these years.

Let me know.

As anyone who has been around for the longest would know, Bic would be an excellent choice as an addition to the team.

So faar, others with interest include:
crazyinp
BrandonH
bazz21
Sarasota_Steve

I'd like to get the community's input towards applicants so the admin team can make a favorable decision.

Also note that as a requirement to join the mod team, you must be able to devote time one day a week to take care of a selected day's activation emails

In the interest of bringing in new blood along with the new bike I would think DMacL is a prime candidate. Sarasota_Steve has been ready and willing to post a well rounded serving of topics and ideas that have been beneficial to promote play.
In all fairness, first ones to raise their hands should be given the responsibility, I dare not say privelage.
Thank you all for volunteering < may your names be read or red or orange but for godsache not PINK.

I think that in the interest of keeping this site worldly we should think about someone in the mediterranean. I am talking strictly Northern Mediterranean lest we have the NSA looking into our affairs. That last sentence was probably enough the extinguish the possibility that they are not already. Well that said BassAgent drags them into wherever and whenever he lays his maliscious mischievous malcontented fingers upon a keyboard. So I'm pretty sure they are already here.
Somewhere where there is great motorcycle history. Somewhere where a sense of national honor will get other motorcyclists to join a cause. Whether it is lining up behind a compatriot to ensure that one of their own wins a championship rather than letting it slip out of their hands and fall into another nations glory.
I know, we should look at someone from Spain.

So I am either not very observant or something new this way came. How long has Aphex been red on the head like the dick on my dog?
