What are you guys paying for insurance?

Postby RyanD » Fri Sep 01, 2017 5:19 pm

What's your insurance premiums looking like for those of you riding a 1290?

I'm due for my yearly Geico payment -- $424, full coverage in Portland, Oregon. Male, 30 years old, married, no DUI's, and no tickets in past 3 years. Progressive quoted me something like $700+. Just curious what others are paying to keep the beast protected.

In my recent search I found Geico cheaper overall.
I'm at $740/yr for comprehensive and I have a few speeding tix and 1 major accident. I'm also in a very expensive zipcode. Not bad in my case.. 8)

An arm a leg and 2 balls, I've got a history of speeding tickets, and a few accidents. I'm a bad risk :(

$456 full comprehensive in Brisbane (Swann)
49, no at fault accidents, no tickets, married, postcode considered less risk (bike insurance premium dropped when I moved 18 months ago, same with car and house insurance).

Hi,

2017 Super Duke and 1580€ full coverage/year.. I'm 27years old male from Finland. In end of the July i totalled my previous beast so my insurance payments went up 20%. Previous beast had also full coverage and payment were somewhere around 1300€/year.

It's not cheap to ride as powerfull bike as SDR here in Finland, but fun can't be measured by money. :)
Now: KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2017
Had: : KTM 1290 Super Duke R 2015 The beast.. Totalled..
Had: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K8
Had: Kawasaki ER-6n 2007

I was paying $400 a year for full coverage on my 2015 until I totalled it this spring and replaced it with a 2016 se with the $15,000.00 ck they wrote me. my policy coverage stayed the same but my cost went DOWN to $300 a year so i'm paying $570.00 full for the 2016 SDR and full on the 2012 K1600gtl! Foremost ins thru harley davidson. yea, I had a harley or 2 and keep my membership up for the great INS prices.
