Where all did you go in those 4000 miles? How long were you on the road?

My trip was from San Diego, CA, up thru Yosemite and Lake Tahoe then on to Crater Lake in Oregon, over to the Oregon coast and into Portland. From there I went up to Whidbey Island off Seattle in Washington to visit my dad. That was the midway point and I started my way back south, going east to Redmond, Oregon to see my mom for a few days. After that, I headed south again and worked my way over to the California coast via Hwy 36 in northern CA and stayed on the coast all the way back.

10 days total riding time.

Nice! I'd really like to visit Oregon and go to Crater Lake some time. Not easily done from Maryland, though!

The bike was solid with all the weight added. No shimmy under hard acceleration at all. Handled the corners with ease and I never really noticed the bags when they were in place.

Off for the Superduke's first MOT today, three years old already and 17,000 miles of fun.

I'm still trying to get to 500 miles, to book my first service and get redline moved up to a more normal position!

I've had the week off, but generally the weather has been poor, but this weekend was quite nice and I got out to ride a little!

Oh, and a week back I installed my AustinRacing can too.

Hey mac nice 1290 SD.......to keep it OT  ......but what really caught my eye is the '72 or '73 BMW 2002 O==00==O
If that is the original color then I'm guessing it's a '73. The other orange was more like the '90's KTM orange called Colorado as you probably know. I owned a '72 2002 ("too" not a "tii" ) from 1975 until 1986 in Colorado Orange with a black interior. It was my daily driver for all of those years, That one got totaled (long, long story) and I still have two more, another '72 with two side draft Weber's, Schrick camshaft, valve springs, Mahle high comp pistons, Stahl headers, Eibach shorter springs, Bilstein Sports, 22mm front and 19mm rear swaybars, negative camber plates, upper aluminium stress bars, Nardi steering wheel, dual point mechanical advance, Bosch Super coil, 14" wheels, etc. The other one I still have is a '73 tii with a sunroof that is all stock. When I got it back in the early '90's it was painted gunmetal gray (with the original black interior) but was maroon originally. I think I might redo it in either the original maroon or back to my original 02's Colorado Orange.

Nice bike and awesome 2O==00==O2 - "too" :)
