Super Duke Product Ideas?

Postby redlimit835 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 4:04 am

Hey SD fam,

I am building up my new startup, and I would like to start producing more products for us on here like I did for these spool sliders.
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22628&p=318473#p318473

I would like to brainstorm what products do we feel are missing or could be refined to work better? This doesn't have to be limited to simple parts like the spools, so let me know what you guys feel has value.

I would need some idea of what you are looking for, features, price point, etc. then based on how much interest I can see what kind of build size I can organize to meet the goals.

Hope everyone has a great night.

Cheers

Luggage rack for top boxes.
For some reason SW Motech only produces luggage rack for Super Duke GT, not Super Duke R:

As far as I know, no luggage rack is available for R yet.

Hey guys,

Please specific which model you are requesting for.

The crash protection I see is for a 990, so I can start looking into that, but I don't currently have access to a 1290, but I might know a guy.

My next question would be which one sounds the most appealing to you guys?
What features are you most interested in that isn't already available?
Is there anything special you want to see or just lower cost better value?

How about a couple of lower rate rear Spring options for the 990?

There still seems to be an interest in aftermarket clutch covers like this one:

Hey everyone,

I am looking into making some nice luggage racks that would fit some nice hard cases for the 990 SD. I wanted to get your input. What size cases would you be interested in? Any brand that would be recommended? Are you ok with cutting through the plastic parts of your bike to allow mounting to the subframe? Or would you be willing to pay more for a replacement piece of plastic that was pre-made to allow the racks to connect to the subframe?

My vision is to have everything underneath the tail and avoid modifying anything on top near the seat area.

Let me know what you think I will be starting to take my bike apart to start brainstorming what this could look like!

Thanks

I've done this, very easy but you need a screen fitted otherwise the GPS acts as a sail and rotates the clocks round the handle bar back towards you at very high speed.
