Stock exhaust

Postby DribbleDuke » Wed Jun 05, 2019 1:05 am

This probably sounds a bit strange but I am looking for a stock exhaust including the heat shields . All the tabs on my heat shield are missing and the main exhaust flange that holds the exhaust on is cracked in half. The deeper I go into this bike the more I find.
I'm at 93440 so naturally I'm thinking the closer the better. Funny after I sold my SD I put the ship anchor in the recycling bin thinking who in they're right mind would ever need this?

I’ve got one from my 08 SDR 990. I’ll take a couple of pics tomorrow. I’m at 34237 and would only ask for packing and shipping charges

I'd love it at that price one could only half bitch about shipping costs. I hope the R and the standard are the same.
PM me your paypal and an amount and I will get on it right away.
Thanx

Drib,
I guess I don’t have the small shields that go on the sides. Must’ve given them to the guy that bought the bike. I can throw in a stock OEM taillight.
Check that part # is the same so we don’t ship something that won’t work. ImageImageImage

The numbers are the same for both the SD and SDR what say you give me a number. I still need the exhaust covers so maybe they will show up from another very kind member source :)
I have sent a few items and received a few from florida and sure I will be sitting when the shipping costs come in, I am sure I will not be leaning back in my chair and will have both feet firmly planted.

That could be cool, I just bought or should I say was given the boat anchor from Florida to stick into the Pacific side of the americas and we may as well cross the pond for the full regalia regatta.

I once heard the the road to hell was paved with good intentions. Well it appears the #47 is 519 away from 666 with his altruism attempts. Thank you #47 for your kind hearted attempts to cure my heat cover woes. But as now to discover that the R model heat shields differ in just enough ways to render use on the standard SD unfit. If anyone has standard heat shields collecting dust and would like to sell them please contact me. Sarasota and #47 have been very helpful or at least tried at it comes with great appreciation.
Standard SD heat shields please.

I have some, but one has plastic melted on it. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll get up in the garage attic and snap a photo or two for you.

Turns out the plastic was on the muffler. They’re not perfect but should clean up ok. Let me know if you want them.

Got them Will, your a gem. It pays to have friends in high places.
#47 I'm not done with you yet. It has been crazy around here.
The shields are boxed so a convenient time to the post office is all that awaits.
For those sticking their eyes in here all I can say is Laguna Seca round of SBK was a bust. sept for getting a text from my parts supplier.
Thank you again Will
