990 Race Pattern Shift Kit

Postby Scotty » Fri May 06, 2016 11:33 am

I'm looking for the above (referred to in the colonies as a GP Shift kit) for my 990 track bike. New ones are unavailable in the UK and I've googled the part number (610234030100) and emailed three dealers in the US and one in the Netherlands to see if they still have them. In the meantime, does anyone on here have a second hand one that they no longer require?

If you can't source one, I can order from my local dealer and ship to you. I ordered one for my 990 about 6 months ago and got it in two days. No problems.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've had one response from a dealer so far, KTMWorld telling me that they don't have one. If No.47 draws a blank in his parts box it looks like I'll take fentos up on his generous offer, unless one of the other dealers gets back to me with one in the meantime.
Cheers chaps 8)

Cool, that's a start, I see that the factory kit had a couple of bearings and a countersunk washer and two bolts, those are bits that I could probably source myself. How much do you want for that plate? 8)

There's an image of the full reverse shift kit half way down this web page if it helps...

http://shop.jimaimracing.co.uk/acatalog ... mance.html

The bearings and fasteners I can source easily enough, the washer might be more difficult. I've seen photos of the kit installed but I'm not sure why they provide two bearings (one I can understand, two I'm less certain of). Perhaps it will become apparent when I have the parts in my hand and offer them up. If anyone has any nugget of information concerning fitting I'd be appreciative. Cheers 8)
