Akras SD 990

Postby battleshaft » Mon Apr 10, 2017 7:41 am

Looking for some round Akrapovics for my 990 SD - currently have Mivv Suonos (black) so may do some sort of deal if anyone's interested.

Cheers!

So header/y-piece junction diameter same for all?

If so, definitely interested in doing a straight swop for mine - sllght scratch marks on rhs sticker and can, though, from when previous owner dropped it - might just be able to see damage here:

After further consideration, it has to be the round Akrapovics - took a look at some Evos and I prefer the look of the round cans. :D

I know what you're saying.
When I first got my bike I was set on upgrading mine to Evo akra's (or something else) but the round cans have grown on me, even how they appear to stick out too far, I love 'um. :D

Still looking... it seems that in order to buy some used Akras you need to also buy the SuperDuke to which they are attached!

Years ago, before I found myself a full titanium Akra system (which is way better for power) I had round Akras. I took them apart and replaced the sleeves with carbon and at the same time cut off about two inches. Didn't make them much louder but I liked the look better.

This is the difference in diameter between a full system and standard downpipes
