Here is a link to my google drive where the maps are hosted: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

The map youre looking for is in the TuneECUmaps.zip file. Just download it and unzip it.

One day I'll rehost the individual maps and sort out the front page of this thread.

Is it ok to flash my 2005 Super Duke with maps labelled 2006?

I have a completely stock bike that I am looking for a smoothened map to flash with TuneECU.

Thanks

You should be fine with the 06 maps. 05/06 was the same bike.
07 onwards is different.

Thanks.
I've just read the current ECU on my bike and found it to have the KM610EU050E001Map which I believe to be the standard KTM map. I'm planning on mapping it with the 06_SD_standard_smoothened.hex found in the Zip file hosted by Aphex.

Has anyone else done this?

I have now looked into the differences between the stadrad and the smoothened maps (at least for my Standard 06 bike), and the differences are only seen in the 2nd Throttle table and the F-L Switch Table.

Can anyone shed some light on what the smoothened maps are effectively doing?

As CK said in this first post:

These first maps are Akra maps that have been smoothed out by James aka MrZ32. They are the safest maps to use as there is no danger of them being lean. This is what he wrote about what has been done to the maps in another thread.

"I have left the akra fuelling alone but turned the o2sensors off, set the 2ndry flies to stay open always(for those that leave them in, but removing the altogether is best), I have also changed the f-l switchover so that the l map only runs at idle... 3-4K surging cured and lifting off the throttle doesn't quite have the same abruptness"

Thanks for that.
I wasn't talking about the Akra maps, but I assume the same goes for the Standard maps too.

Sorry for the delay.
At the time of typing my initial post I didn't have any mods.
I have since removed the SAS and fitted a straight through exhaust like the Akra.
I am going to flash the 06_Akra_slip_on_smoothened.hex would that be right?

Thanks.
I'm confused about whether I need to tick, or untick any of these devices within TuneECU prior to downloading the map to the bike.

SAI
O2 Sensor
2nd Throttle
Idle
Speed Control
EPC

You don't want SAI (that's the SAS) or O2 sensors.

2nd throttle is the secondary flies, the smoothed map will keep them open, but if you untick it'll stop them moving.

I went with this

SAI - Unchecked
O2 Sensor - Unchecked
2nd Throttle - Checked
Idle - Checked
EPC - Unchecked

I also increased the Rev Limit to 9900

Oh yeah forgot the EPC.

Yeah that's what you ticked/unticked.

Raising the revs is also a good shout (think that's where I put mine to as well). There was people running into problems going over 10k, but set at 9900 I never felt the need for higher.

Hope you feel contempt with the map, it might smell a little fuely, but you'll be pleased with the difference.
