[download] SD workshop repair manual

Postby someone » Tue Jun 20, 2006 8:05 pm

PC users right click on the links and "save target as"
Mac users ctrl-click and "download linked file"

http://www.superduke.net/technical/SDrepairEnglish.zip

the file is 37 MB and PC users need some kind of unstuffing software
(sorry I am mainly Mac savvy)

Again, many many thanks to lundis for providing these,
this post will be updated (if requested here) with French, German, Spanish and Italian versions of the pdf documents

Also I need to remind you that these will be up here as long as noone objects, so get them while they're hot!

Edit: SD_Throttle_Bodies_Diagram&systems added

Thanks - that's really useful.

I guess there won't be much difference, but has anyone got a link for the 2007 manual?

Help from admin type folks required.

Postby 990Glen » Sat May 26, 2007 7:03 am

Have just received a copy of the workshop manuals for 06/07 KTMs on CDrom. Ive tried all sorts of different ways to try and get a postable link for the site, but its either too big to download here, or the wrong file extension to drop into the likes of photobucket etc. it is also too large for my email to send due to the ISP filters. (29Mb).
Anyone got any idea how to get it onto the site. If one of admin needs a hard copy to do it from their end, no problem. Just PM me a postal address and I will send a copy via snail mail.
Have tried getting in touch with Skavitch over the last few days but no replies, so he must be on his jollies or summit.

Woohoo!
Thanks 990Glen, spo002 and RapidShare!

Did the CD have a folder that that .pdf was in that would give a clue to the location on the dealer site?

If the 2006 model is http://www.ktm.com/download.php?dataID=9803F4_OM_EN.pdf
you may be able to find a similar code to the 9803F4_OM_EN.pdf from something on the CD; Browsing the pdf rather than downloading it would be easier for folk with slow connections (it just downloads the index and page you're looking at).

File name on the disc is RA LC8 2006-E, and the disc name is 3206044 LC8 2007.
Sorry, dont understand what you are getting at with the way it downloads. Is it not working properly. I havent tried to go back and download it again since posting it. I notice that the previous manual was zipped and has a superduke.net file name. Maybe one of the boffins could take it from rapidshare, zip it and then do a site relative file address. I had a go at all that but it was beyond me so just posted with rapidshare as suggested. If it has gone on alright, then I will post the files for the user manual, shock and forks handbooks in the same way if people want them.
Someone who can explain to me what/how the rapidshare file needs to be changed for ease of access( keep it simple and step by step please) give me a run thro and I can try again.

Thanks buddy!
My dealer didn't have a decent answer on why KTM has quit providing the suspension manuals with new bikes...

Ok, rain stopped play for a bit, so there are the owners manual and the suspension stuff from the new disc.

Also if anyone is interested, the I have stuff for the adv, 950 moto and superenduro. Also have a disc covering 4T exc/sx/smr range from 2000-2007.

Apologies, 990Glen: I wasn't very clear!
There is no problem with what you have done at all, I downloaded it and am grateful!
My suggestion was to see if your disk would help us figure out where it is on the KTM web site, which would mean that you wouldn't have needed to upload it, and we'd be able to access updates, which must be due because the wiring diagram is still for the '06 only (I was looking to see if the location of the accessories connector was updated, but its still the old photo of them by the fuses, when they're in the headlight faring now).

It looks like the manuals are available to the public since we can access the '06 manual and if you search for models_tech_datasheets on google you can see other people are accessing things like the manual for the Duke II. But you need to know the file-name to put at the end of the Address:
https://www.ktmdealer.net/uploads/model ... datasheets

macsym told us the address for the '06 manual: http://www.ktm.com/download.php?dataID=9803F4_OM_EN.pdf
which leads to:
https://www.ktmdealer.net/uploads/model ... _OM_EN.pdf
So I was hoping we could work out the file name for the '07 manual from file names on your disk, but I've tried:
https://www.ktmdealer.net/uploads/model ... _EN_OM.pdf

07_3211151_EN_OM.pdf looked like the closest file with the same name, and nothing is found.

Its probably easier just to ask a dealer, but that won't be necessary if we can find the code from you folder names.

If that's still as clear as mud, don't worry - we have the documents now and that's wonderful, thanks!

Doh! I can't believe I didn't try that!
Well done!
So, the letter is the year (F=06,G=07), and we'll be able to access future years when they publish them :-)
