Tank Pads

Postby KTM Canadian » Sat Oct 29, 2016 5:17 am

Hey guys
I'm looking for the best looking and decent protection for the tank from jeans, leathers, belts etc.
I have the orange 1290 R. Any thoughts?

I have the black PowerParts tank pads, and I really like them. But I have a black bike, so they blend in better. Too early to tell how long they last, but they are only $12 US for the 3-piece set, so replacing them isn't the end of the world. Maybe I should even pick up a few sets in case they discontinue them/update them. Any way, you could try the clear on orange. http://www.ktmworld.com/product/6130791400099.html

I use tecspec snake skin pads on mine. They're 1/8 inch thick and are a little cushiony so they have a nice feel when you squeeze the tank with your knees.

Oops.
Sorry, wrong pic.
I like the TechSpec Snake Skin Gripsters on the 1290.
They last forever and are easy on yer clothing too.
