I had never heard of the Erzberg Rodeo event before so I went to their website and did some browsing. After watching the teaser video provided on the Erzberg website, which I have linked to below, I think this is an event I'll have to watch in the future:

Good luck to "sebsd" in the race and hope to see you in the photos/videos afterwards. :)

Schwarzwasser 160.9344 (km)............................... some of you may know what I'm talking about....same concept, make the course so tough only the best of the best complete it the rest have stories for a lifetime to tell friends and family. GOOD LUCK!!

Best bet I've heard it to ride a KTM 300 XCW/EXC 2-stroke WITH ELECTRIC START and make lots of friends before the start  And the hills (mountains) are made before you get to them with the speed and momentum (if possible) you get on the approach.

Have fun and don't give up, you can do this, you know you can!

Yeah thats the way to do it if you are very serious about the race, technically you can only finish this race if you start in first line ( 50 riders / line ) x 10. This is for the main event ( hare scramble )

To qualify for this race we need to race on a 13.5km steep road with many many curves, best time mean best position they will pick 500 out of the 2000 people who do it. I shouldn't have problem being in those 500 but being in top 50 will be hard no doubt! I have two attempt to get the best time.

I had to rent a bike there its a Husqvarna TE 300, I have 2 days to practice myself fast-kicking-drop-clutch-second-gear-braaaaap before the race :)

I am heading to the quarry tomorrow for registration and bike inspection, really starting to get pumped.

It was a great race! I did not qualify sadly, I think I finished around 740/1850 on the prolog and needed to be top 500 for main race. This is a hella tough event, I was sure to easily be in top 200 after watching some youtube onboard video :P

That was my first enduro and I was a bit ambitious haha, I might do it next year but will train for it :)

So how do you train for a race like that...........I know buy a horse and get one foot caught in the stirrup and let the horse drag you for a 100 km, then switch to the other stirrup and other foot and let the horse drag you back the other direction to the start.......    :D
