Let's organise a southern ride out....same time, same day. The thought of a 16 hour round trip on an SDR with a rock hard seat and a mad dash for a ferry straight afterwards is probably going to be too much to handle (especially at the end of a biking week with 3 track days included).

OK you boys and girls living dahn saaarff. How about it? Meet up somewhere like Virginia Waters and go from there?

I'd be up for a wee bimble, I'm sure I could get LondonDutch out as well.

So who's this Virginia Waters, the local tart? :D

Responded to other thread already but I should be up for this.
Longest ride on one wheel, 8 miles....

....if only I could do it on my SD.

I'm still up for the ride starting at Devil's Bridge. It's easy for me as it's only an hour away from home.

OK just to clarify we are meeting at 1000hrs Devils Bridge?

Am I right in thinking Devils Bridge is the bridge on the way in to Kirby Lonsdale and there is a car park next to it? Thats what it looks like on Google Earth anyway.

Devil's Bridge is on the A683 a couple of hundred yards north of the A65. There is a large parking area on the near side and a caravan selling brews and butties, by 10am there should be plenty of bikes there, you can't miss it. I'll see you there.

Bloody Northern lightweights, you don't see any of us southerners crying off cause of the rain!

Anything you may have read about rain or use of car in the southern ride thread has obviously been completely misconstrued and is not admissible in a southern court of law

Is that what you have to do in order to get to the sheep up there, run over the friggin sheepdog so he doesn't alert the owner.

In which case you're absolutely right, I've never attempted to ride over Shep in good or bad weather
