Leak from rear cylinder

Postby gringo » Sun Mar 11, 2012 3:01 pm

Okay so today i noticed what seems to be oil seaping from the top part of the rear cylinder, 09 model with 16k kilometers and a ktm club racing kit fitted at new. I think the kit has thinner gaskets, anyways i am thinking of getting an 11r that the dealer has, will keep an eye to see if it get worse which i think it will, just dont want to spend money on her if i am getting rid, poor bike i feel bad letting her leak fluids.

It seems a straight forward job but time consuming plus it be the dealer that does it.

Anybody elese had this issue?

Have you had yours on a track? I think there's some sort of breather pipe or something that can spew oil if you keep her in he upper rev range for a while. Read this a few times. I sure there a catch can mod you can use to stop it. More recent models don't have the issue.
Have a look at this thread. I think it's your problem..
