Moving the electronics in - board

Postby tripoddave » Sun Jun 02, 2013 8:00 pm

I've posted this on the KTM Forum (RC8):

I want to move the electronics inboard from from both side fairings but also want to be able to keep the headlight.
I bought the Racing Electronics Mounting kit that KTM do (69012034044) because I'd been given the advice that it could be used in conjunction with the headlight. Sadly it's not a goer as it uses the headlight mounting as a bracket mounting point.

Instructions:
https://www.ktmdealer.net/uploads/pd...2034044_OM.pdf

So: does anyone know how to move all that stuff inboard?
Essentailly it's an early stage in my streetfighter project (SD8R).

Any help / advice gratefully received.
(except my missis' suggestion I give up and buy a Pikes Peak Multistrada instead!)

No its a no go, I made my connections as follows but didn't make use of the standard headlight either.
Also placed the ECU in the front, its the better spot imo also.

looks a bit clumsy but it works

Dave said the Diavel is going to Almeria. Hope it's true. Should be interesting

You're right! Ever decreasing circles.
The Diavel is a great bike - I'm loving it to bits. The acceleration to 100mph is easily the best of any bike I've ever owned and the braking performance is superb too.
Ground clearance is a bit of an issue but i'm working on that.
