RC8 Throttle Cam

Postby doc franco » Sat Oct 11, 2008 9:23 am

I see an official Powerparts throttle cam for the RC8 has appeared on the KTM website (#U6951154).
Comes with three different cams to "tailor throttle response" Have KTM accepted there`s a (low -revs) fuelling problem, amd is this their answer?!

It's been out a while for the Adventure. KTM knows the throttle response is sensitive, the consumer is the one who hasn't accepted it.

The RC8R comes with the race throttle that makes the bike feel very on-off like specially in city use.
There's a street throttle available this cost round 22£/26€

Normally KTM dealer must ask which throttle you want...but due to that readt to race bullshit they often don't ask and send out buyers with a race cam throttle.

Try to imagine that every Jap race bike came with race-throttle/speedgas...streets would be filled with dead motorcyclists imo.

The part number for that street progressive cam is Part number: 69002021100
it is coloured orange instead of black, so you don't need that expecsive metal one that KTM will try to sell U, fact is you only need one cam ik that 3piece kit, with the other two you got to take away material inside the throttle housing also.
That Part number: 69002021100 comes as complete ready to bolt on package for the RC8R...if your dealer refuses to order this, go out and find another dealer becuz this one is out there to rip you off.

Its this set
