If that first service is only to change oil and to make sure that no parts are in danger of immediately falling off AND the warranty in your area doesn't require to you have them complete the service in order to keep the warranty in effect THEN it seems reasonable to skip it.
Anyone know exactly what the dealer does during that first service?
The next service due is shown on the dash for a few seconds when you first turn on the key.
To reset the km or months until next service.
- hold the up and down buttons and turn on the ignition
- continue to hold the up and down buttons until the display cycles through all the menus
- continue to hold the up and down buttons when the setting menu is reached
- let go the buttons & push both of them again & hold
- after a few seconds the settings menu will change to allow you to choose the kms and months until next service
- You can now let go of the up and down buttons
- If you end up on the MTC/ABS screen you have gone to far start over again
- Use the "set" button to increase the numbers. Keep going and the kms and months will cycle back around to 0 if you go past your choice.
