Carbon Fiber heat shield for Rottweiller air box

Postby abc » Sun Oct 12, 2014 10:53 am

Today I fitted my Rottweiler Air Box and made a carbon version of the heat shield. For pic go to http://www.ktmsmt.com/viewtopic.php?f=2 ... 2&start=20
Mark out the shape on 1mm carbon sheet and cut with grinder, files and sand paper to final shape. Sand around all edges to avoid the chance of cutting any wires when fitting. 1mm sheet is flexible enough to bend when fitting into tight space.
Happy playing.

Looks great. As soon as I felt the weight of the shield I was like "yep... thats gonna be CF"! lol
