Rottweiler intake problem

Postby Kotari » Sat Nov 11, 2017 5:06 pm

Hello,

Does anyone who has rottweiler performance intake had any problems with it?

I noticed yesterday that my baseplate has cracked from the rear cylinder velocity stack to the back of the baseplate. I guess it's not easy to fix it because of the engine vibrations etc may crack it again..

They do caution you to tighten the velocity stack bolts only to 55 inch pounds (which is only about 6Nm) and to use threadlocker. Did you do that while installing it?

Well, I guess next is to contact Rottweiler. You are going to need a new base anyway.

Do you have a picture of the breakage?

they had a problem like this with the first gen 990 ones and sent out modded plates to customers - contact rotty would be my advice

I did sent them email about it, but no response yet. Warranty time has been exceeded and it was fine over year and half before crack showed up. I will buy new baseplate from rotty after they responce to my email. Hopefully they give me some mercy and give me a little discount of it
