different front headlight

Postby abc » Fri Aug 19, 2016 12:45 am

I am considering trying to change the headlight by replacing it with something from a different bike. Because I hate "all things wires" can someone explain to me what is necessary so I don't throw all the bullsh1t fault codes. I am mainly interested in something I can plug straight into the existing loom.
There are lots of choices from other bikes but I don't know if what I want to do is possible. I have not chosen the exact replacement light and housing yet so I can't point you to the exact option I want.
I would like to get the light to plug straight in then I can just design and build a suitable carbon housing.
Thanks in advance for any help.

As long as you're using a "bulb" it won't throw up fault codes.
If you want to use Leds you have to fit a resistor to stop fault codes.
If you don't do anything stupid when young, you have nothing to smile about when old!
