BoosterPlug.

Postby DaveNZ » Thu Nov 03, 2016 5:34 am

Have any of you guys (1290 owners) ever fitted a BoosterPlug, its a fuel enrichment dongle type thing, it plugs into your ECU box and injector, and enriches the lean low rev range on the 1290 I have a 1290 GT, and have fitted a Remus link pipe and muffler, and I'm a little concerned it might run a little lean, i haven't done any air box mods as yet, but plan to when some new open pipe mapping comes out for the GT. Thanxs for any replies.

Rotty makes dongles to replace the 02 sensors they help with the low rpm surge
they claim they raise the fuel mixtures a full point.
I installed them and can feel a difference.

I noticed virtually no difference with a BoosterPlug on my Hypermotard. It still had the worst lean surge that ultimately resulted in my trading up to the KTM.

I am hoping Mrs. Claus brings me the Fuel Dongles and O2 plugs. I have already got the Mivv midpipe, and my dealership said they'll download the Akra map for me N/C. So, that should make things much smoother.

I fitted the o2 sensor removal plugs, and bolt bungs into the exhaust, and my GT is running much nicer down low now, the pipe before looked lean and clean, now it has a little colour.
