Hi from New Zealand

Postby joe1290 » Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:12 am

Hello everyone. My name is Al and I bought my 1290 new in 2015. I've since clocked up over 90,000km on it and love it to bits.

I look forward to some good reading within the forum.

Pic taken at the longest place name in the world. Don't ask me to pronounce it.

Whereabouts in NZ do you hail from Joe? I've been once, in 2007, borrowed a bike and had a ball in North Island; great roads, little traffic, and I wasn't bothered by the cops (whom I gather are a bit hot on speeding...) - just had to keep topping up the factor 30

I'm from Palmerston North, lower North Island Scotty.

Yeah plenty of good roads with a lot of variety, just have to watch out for tar bleeding in the Summer months. True about the cops because apparently speed kills, whereas I thought it was the sudden stop that did the damage.

Glad you enjoyed your time here!
