Hi from Somerset, UK.

Postby RichUK » Tue Oct 25, 2016 9:02 am

I'm a new owner of a white & black 990 and loving her.

Based in Somerset but looks like I picked the wrong time of year to get a new bike as I think teh weather is turning now - fair weather bike only...
Still it'll give me plenty of time to tinker before next years riding season... and it seems he's already asking for attention.. minor coolant leak

Rich. :)

Where are you based? I'm regularly in Bridgwater/Burnham-on-Sea area visiting family.

Hey Rich, did you ride through Shepton Beauchamp at about 15:25 this afternoon? I was sitting outside the pub with my girlfriend and her daughter when a white 990 rode past and turned right up Great Lane. I gave the rider the thumbs-up but the ignorant fecker ignored me... 8)

Not me mate, I was suppose to be taking her in for her MOT today but the brake light bulb had blown (discovered this about 1 hour before due at the garage) and then discovered that it's a weird red bulb in there, and that there are none available locally.
Got a couple ordered from fleabay now... so she won't be out again until next week sometime. :(
Just as well I have back up bikes

I have noticed people waving or flashing at me though, one lady in an oncoming VW T5 gave me the bird too a while back (totally unprovoked  )... so I guess there is someone about with a similar looking bike, who people don't seem to like.

Fair enough mate, the same bike came back the other way around 16:45, rider has a black lid, but by that time we had gone back into the pub as it had cooled off a bit. He looked like the sort to piss off a T5 driver as I drive one and he ignored my friendly salutation earlier....
