Hello from Deland, FL

Postby ZDuke » Fri Jan 13, 2017 7:25 pm

Hello, everyone. My name is Matt. I currently ride a Ducati Diavel. I have had all kinds of harleys, & two Vmaxes (gen 1 and gen 2), but I have always had my eye on the Super Duke. Now I am working on choosing a dealer to pre-order the 2017 1290r to park next to my Diavel. Can't wait!

Welcome in.

A Vmax is on my short list of next bikes. Do you have any work done to them? Prefer gen 1 over 2?

ZDuke, welcome to the forum. I'm sure that you will find the SD of your dreams soon. The 17's seem to have some really nice upgrades. I'm jealous.

Steve, What time do you anticipate arriving at Gator Joe's? (I am assuming this Gator Joe's https://www.gatorjoesocala.com/ ) If you can give me some details, I might be able to get some local riders to join in the fun.

Hey guys. Sorry for the late reply... guess I have to check my notification settings.

Sarasota Steve: thanks for the invite... I'd love to join you guys, but i have to work the 29th. I'll keep an eye out for fure rides though... I'd love to meet you guys.

Aphex: I don't own the Vmaxes anymore, but I'd have to say that I liked the performance of the gen 1. Ether because it behaved lke a cruiser under 6k rpm. I found the Gen 2 to be more of a sport bike all around... although it was awesome also. Couldn't get into the look of it though.

Looks like my 2017 will be here somewhere between Feb and March. Official date is March, but my dealer says they often arrive a month prior to projected date. Crossing my fingers!
