Let in

Postby Stu990 » Tue Apr 25, 2017 3:06 pm

Well a week after getting my first Superduke 990, and after my first trackday on it, I've been let in here :D

Lots of questions, used up all my oil on the track so how do you fill some more? Suspension i did get it improved, but still a bit wallowy.

Now that I can log in here I will have a search around

Cheers
Stu

I can't emphasize enough for new forum members to please read this thread http://www.superduke.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=16897 before you start asking newbie questions.

The SEARCH button will be your best friend for the foreseeable future.

Anyway, Welcome in!

Welcome Stu, :)
Where are you from?
Putting oil in is a bit of a faff. You have to take off the r/h fairing panel to get to the filler cap.
Make sure the bike is upright and engine is warm when you check the oil level in the sight glass (on l/h side).
Don't overfill.
Instructions are in the owners handbook. If you don't have it, there's loads of stuff on here and videos etc online.

Enjoy 8)

Hi Steve

As you know I wasn't allowed to read that thread until I had my account authorised, so doing a trackday without knowing how to fill the oil or setup the suspension was pretty frustating, but getting ther now.

Welcome in!

That's a little silly since anyone can read the threads with out an account, you just can't ask questions.

The 2007 owners manual you have to login to access - but now I realise you have to be a KTM dealer to login, I think. Does anyone have access to this?
