Postby bartholio » Sun Mar 25, 2018 10:20 pm

Hi there,

I just became a proud owner of a SD990 2007 and will try to find loads of answers to my multiple questions about that beast :)

Welcome comrade Bart. On the menu bar above is the SEARCH button. The answer to most of the questions you are initially likely to ask can be found already answered if you use the button. Enjoy your ride.

G'day Bart, welcome mate.
Looks like the 990 has had a little work done already, airbox, pipes etc. Looks nice.

well... depends what you like... and IMO that guy did some harm to the bike, just to get LITERALLY 5 HP more... and that is why now I am trying to bring it a little bit back to it's origin :)

You've never rode a stock 990, the changes you have on the bike usually make the bike smoother and with a stonger pickup after gearchange.

I'd look for the round or evo akrapovic cans to substitute those you have but would not put the stock airbox ( unless you ride daily on very dusty grounds or extreme raining), neither remove the exhaust and ecu programing.
