I have had problems for a few years with what I thought was the idle stepper motor. Tick over would become high sometimes especially if I rushed starting the bike before the FI light went out. Turning the bike off and back on sorted it every time.
Tonight I started the bike and all was well, fast idle to warm up and then correct rpm tick over. I stopped the bike and when I restarted the idle was non exsistant. I had to use the throttle to start it and to keep it running. Turning the bike off and on has made no difference. It now feels a little fluffy at low revs but pulls strongly as normal when opened up. When fully warm it will just tick over if nursed to rest but otherwise stalls.
Could it be that the stepper motor has finally given up, or is it down to something more simple like bad connections ?
Any ideas before I start spending please ?
