A few years ago my bud's 990 ADV had wiring problems with the ignition.
Turn the bars and things did not work correctly.
It was a bad wire that broke inside the plastic wire cover and was only detected by feeling the break and noticing a slight bulge on the wire.
Not sure if KTM used flex wire on their builds.
Search the wire loom and pay attention to the wires that move when the front forks rotate.
Pay special attention to the wires that might not be long e-nuf and is put under stress.
That was the scenario of my buds misfortune, fixed while on a out of state trip with a borrowed solder gun.
