Service work ?

Postby frankpgh » Sat Mar 31, 2007 3:15 pm

I'll be buying my SD in Ohio and want to get it's service done in Pennsylvania. One of my friends said I should be sure that the warranty will allow this. I can't believe that it won't. Am I wrong?

Its a manufacturers warranty...... not a dealers,so it matters not where the bike is purchased from, and where its serviced, although some dealers are shall we say not keen to carry out warranty work on bikes they did not sell, they have no choice...... if its just general service work you pay for,im sure they will be happy to take your money.

Indeed. Every authorized dealer must do warranty work on your bike. It's in their dealer contract. Dealers are getting paid fixed rates for warranty jobs. No need to feel sorry for them... :)
