Been a price increase since then FYI.

Increase, they don't miss ya aye.....thought some of the prices were already a bit expensive....time to throw the price list away and go for aftermarket parts instead.

New to KTM with the 1290 and already I am realising my mistake.....bike itself is awesome, build quality yeah not a lot I can say there, but crap comes to mind.....after sales and parts.....ridiculous.

Wonder what the competition will be bring out in the next year or 2, as my short experience of KTM has been more than enough for me, they are not that good, in fact for the price they charge are not even close.

Full exhaust retail is $4600 now... LOL.

I challenge you to find a bike with the same performance figures and same weight and handling. I do hear you though.. for me its worth the price and I've dumped over 10k into mine so far on top of the purchase price. The bike has flaws yes, but if you get a good one and don't mind tinkering its a killer base package.

Been told today that the ABS-TC dongle thingy is AU$199 now and on back order.
They are really taking the piss for a memory stick and a $6 connector.

Might be an awesome bike but I do understand Pikey and I find KTM doesn't deserve our custom.

BTW, did any of you got a replacement vehicle while a warranty issue was fixed? No why not??
On a car of similar value you would!
Interesting question isn't it!?

Some peeps obviously like to be mugged and are prepared to pay for it too. LOL

People get me wrong, I love the bike but KTM are taking the piss with the powerparts prices. They already charged heaps for the bike itself.... greed....
Makes me sad. :(

Wish I'd seen this post before I spent half an hour on the phone to a dealer today quoting part numbers, lol.

Prices are relative to the bike's value and the euro vs dollar exchange. Plus in Aus our bikes are a luxury vehicle and attract more duty unfortunately.

I sold Hardparts in 2006-2007 before the dealer I worked at shut up shop and the prices are all relative, they used to be a bit higher.

Just thank your lucky stars you don't have a Ducati. ;)

Evotech have some nice gear and Austin racing have some nice exhaust options. More nice gear will emerge once the bike has been out longer.

Cheers,
