1290 SDR tool bag?

Postby drkangel » Mon Apr 25, 2016 6:00 pm

When you buy a new Superduke, should there be included the owner/operator manual AND a tool bag/kit? My dealer forgot to give the manual, but I don't have a toolset either and don't know if that is missing as well or just not included. Any help?

Yes, you should get a tool kit. Are you in the US? If so, we have that stupid evap canister under the seat where the tool bag should live (at least for those bike that [i]don't[i] have the stupid canister). My dealer gave it to me separately, they probably just forgot.

My tool kit fit in the place the manual says to put it, under the elastic band. Do some folks have an issue fitting it in there?

Should have come with the tool kit and the owners manual. Not sure about other countries, but US, the Evap Canister is under the seat, so my tool kit was in the Big KTM portfolio, along with the Owners manual, keys and powerparts catalog. It was like that on both my '14 and '15

My tool kit was in the portfolio too, but it fit right in place under the big rubber band under the rear seat. It was "tight", but not jammed in there.

Where did you get your 1290? Motor cafe? Moore and sons?

MotorCafe has refused my trade now twice in a row. Both times I had a low mileage Ducati. The first time it was a Diavel they sold me. I went to Ace both times.
