INSURANCE - would you believe it?

Postby RaceLeathers » Fri Aug 10, 2007 5:58 pm

Well, went online for the insurance for the SDR.

Tried Devitts who were the cheapest out of a bunch of them and they came in at a gobsmacking £749 fully comp (0 NCB) even though they dont show the R model in their lists.

THEN..............

I tried www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk who get quotes from some leading brokers/insurers and Devitts were in the list.
Strangely enough, after going through them, the insurance dropped to £533 (still through Devitts). A shocking £216 cheaper using the same insurer/broker. :D

Just goes to show the saving which can be made by using someone elses bulk buying discount.

Now pick the phone up and see if they can do better. Often happens.

Would it piss you off if I told you my fully comp, unlimited rider policy costs me a whopping £120 per year?

Oops, too late :D

There was a thread on insurance a while back. http://www.superduke.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2726&highlight=insurance

I wouldn't be too upset if your main bike was of those slower orange ones. That would be understandable

However, it its for a lightening quick, seat like a brick SDR, I'd be gutted 8)

Cheers for the link.

Latest quote has come in at £450, its getting better (slightly).
