I gather that Irma's heading more towards the west Fl coastline now.... Is Steve battening down the hatches and staying put, or evacuating? Seeing the jammed freeways makes me wonder where everyone will go. It doesn't help with a state of that shape, there's only one way out. Hopefully people elsewhere will be generous to the evacuees and not see it as an opportunity to print some money. I saw one guy interviewed at MFL airport, cutting short his holiday and paying $8500 for a flight back to the uk
Take care everyone, read y'all soon

Scotty, we are still ok. Supposed to hit hard tomorrow night into Monday. I'm staying since we have my wife's mother not wanting to travel n at this point, the roads clogged with people trying to evacuate.

Well,
All is well. No damage whatsoever to our house or vehicles. Just some tree twigs and leaves. Lost online access and cable TV. (The horror!)
Hope all hooligans in FL, GA, NC have had a very similar experience.

I've proven a couple of times that SDRs can be ridden thru' at least six inches of flood water, if that helps.....just don't try to get a knee down at the same time.
