'08 SDR

Postby No. 47 » Sun Jan 06, 2019 10:50 am

Have set up new practice, primarily based at home at moment, and not riding every day into London every day - so, was thinking of selling #2 SDR (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=26939 ), now at circa 18k miles, probably converted back to fully OE exhaust, airbox, map, etc) and (again........) rebuilding #1 SDR.

Not definite decision yet but any interest here?

Just in case No.47 doesn't decide to sell, I have one that I'm ready to sell but haven't bothered advertising since the start of lockdown.
I bought it by replying to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=26191 and it hasn't changed a great deal since then, just a few additions - let me know if you're interested.
Cheers.

Only wobbling 'cos I've yet to pull apart #1 SDR engine - let me know if this SD stays at home here as it should.

Apologies - yet to strip down #1 engine to assess scale of damage and 996S clip-on clamp just snapped moving 'cycle around garage, luckily not while riding - need at least one roadworthy 'cyle and #2 therefore not for sale at the moment.

Thanks but I'm an old f#rt who grew up constantly rebuilding, rather than riding, old British bikes while everyone else was riding, and in some cases, killing themselves on FS1Es, etc, graduating to two and three cylinder two 250/500/750 strokes, CB 400/4, CB 750/4, etc - I was, and still am, learning how to kick start 500cc+ British singles and twins, and have never owned anything other than British or European 'cycles - old dogs and new tricks, I guess.
