Greetings from Phoenix, AZ USA

2018 SDR, orange and white. Traded in a 2015 Super Adventure for the SDR. I had dreams of being Ewan McGregor or Charley Boorman. That never happened and I ended up doing 300 miles or less rides around Arizona. Took a demo ride on an SDR and that was that!

Comrade: Welcome to the forum. What was so bad about the Adventure?

Jmann,

There is nothing bad about the adventure. But there is so much good about the 1290. You know ... you own one!

Cactusbasher, welcome in!

Don't get me wrong, my 2015 SuperAdventure was a great bike. It's just that the type of riding I do drifted away from what the SA was meant for and headed more in the direction of what the SDR is meant for. I used to do long/multi day rides, but that's just not the case anymore. A good ride for me is 300 or so miles from Phoenix to Prescott or Payson then home.
