990 front disks bolts

Want to upgrade the front disk bolts for non rusty ones but I have read that they need to be metal so the speedo works ,is there a way round this or am I stuck with the standard ones ,,

As opposed to ...wood? Plastic?

Meaning not alloy or titanium , a different metal to what’s as standard
