Hi Guys.

I finally managed to buy a Superduke for track only. The R6 is for sale now...... Very Happy

I fitted R&G all around. I also fitted some PP Tuning rearsets (used in the UK Superduke Battle). When i look at the bike the frame, engine etc. is well protected, but the rearsets look like they are the first to 'break' if i crash the bike. (usually a few times a year..... Surprised )

Does anybody know if the rearsets allways 'break' if a Superduke 'flips over'...... Question

I wonder if there is any crash mushrooms designed for the swing arm axle. They would be pretty close to the rearsets, but it might work.

Any ideas..... Question Question Question Question

SuperDuke-DK, Howdy, welcome to the LUV shack.

joe has had 2 minor crashes, the SD is bad for bending the frame whare the rearsets mount, mine is slightly bent on the left side.

I want some rearsets that will snap-off rather than allow the frame to bend, if you want pics i can post them up.

the jap racer replicas have a better design in this particular area of the bike.

if you look at the differences you can easily see this spot is vulnerable on the SD.

You are right, the Superduke is a little 'thin' around the rearsets.

Also i prefeer to change some parts on the rearsets in stead of damaging the frame, but i also want to finish a race, even after a crash.

Maybe i shouldnt worry to much, i dont crash that often (after all)....... Smile

I guess i have to see what happens, and maybe update my spareparts list.

The R&G protector showed is for the rear wheel axle bolt. Maybe it is possible to make one for the swing arm axle (in front of the rearsets). There is not much space, and it might be to close to gearshift and rear brake.

I will look at it, and come back if i find any good solution.

I go on the first track day (practice) this monday, can hardly sleep. I go for the same lap times as on the R6. (if i can keep the front down...... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy )

Thanks guys, happy to be here........ Very Happy
