So some stupidly rich guy or gal says he/she wants to reward you for your exquisite motorbike taste, and offers to buy any one item/thing/component for your up-to-this-point standard SD(R)...
What would it be?
(ps: saying 'an RC8 to keep it company', or 'an RC8 motor', while totally understandable, and basically ideal, is not allowed ).
I'd say.... err... um (sheesh this is difficult!)....mmmm...
BST cf wheels.
Yummy! |

I really can't think of any reason why people don't get rid immediately that bulky hot thing under the seat. Even the cost of an aftermarket exhaust isn't that much... comparing the gains |

I can realistically afford a system myself, that's why I'd want my benefactor to fork out on the REAL expensive stuff ! |

Best thing i could ask for would be a 10-12 extra hp's using a safe and reliable engine mod, so that i can use my bike for some 60-70k klm... Given that that is quite hard to achieve, i 'd go for the wheels.
Either the CF BST's or those magnesium beauties (road legal)

If the bike was std - the Akro race cans. The round ones, non of your homoerotic evo shite.
As I am now, the wheels. |

We're talking standard SD/R at this point right ? then i'd have the evo akra full system with map followed by the c/f wheels if she really wanted to please me |

I am a simple man with simple simplness and simple needs.
I'd take my reward in the form of a perfect suspension set up. |

You have it. Read your manual & you're golden. Nothing better than the WP suspension you already have, barring the TTX Ohlins ($11,000 USD for the forks). |

why do that when you can step up to the WP SDR racing replacements recommended specifically for the SD?! @ $2400 (F&R), quite a great value too!! |

I voted suspension as well, I find no fault in the standard stuff thats on there right now, but it isn't the Ohlins suspension I'm used to. I can't say I'd spend the suggested price for the "race version" as I won't be "racing" the sd , nor will I be tracking it , due to already having a good track bike. But I would like to see something a little more compliant to the "street rididng" I do. I don't know if Ohlins makes suspension for the SD.........and to tell you the truth, I don't want to know, kuz that answer could cost me thousands over the winter time . |

Agree there. The KTM stuff is every bit as good as the OE Ohlins fitted to RSV's and Ducati. For a start, the fork seals last longer than a year! |

New injection map would be good, but if mr rich benefactor could afford it the one item that would really enhance my SD riding experience would be a new spine.

If it has to be for the SD then CF wheels.
If it is something to go on the SD I would like a penis enlargement. |
